The Bent Residence is a waterfront addition to an existing single-family home in Bellevue, Washington. The project includes a 527 SF addition of a new main entry, a primary bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, and a 600 SF detached garage. Site work includes reconfiguration of the entry sequence with new stairs, planters, and planting, as well as additional uncovered parking along Pleasure Point Lane. Landscape improvements extend into the rear yard along Lake Washington.

The design strategy “bends” the addition to preserve and capture views toward Lake Washington from the new primary bedroom while maintaining a seamless connection to the existing residence.

Veronica contributed primarily during schematic design, developing spatial options for the addition that balanced view orientation with integration into the existing house. She produced design development drawings and construction details, supported the contractor selection process, and led the preparation and submission of permit drawings to the City of Bellevue.
