Project: Red Mountain Winery
Architect: Upward Architecture & Interiors
Location: Red Mountain, WA
Status: Unbuilt, 2018
Upward Architecture designed a winemaking facility in Red Mountain, Washington's wine region. The building houses the complete winemaking process, with the floor plan organized sequentially from the adjacent vineyards through harvesting, crushing, fermentation, bottling, and aging. The concrete materiality responds to the high desert climate and the brand aesthetic.
Phase 2 will add a tasting room, fine wine facility, and additional storage, taking this building from internal process to a welcoming space for visitors to learn the wine making process.
Veronica's work included detailed wall sections and stair detailing, as well as rendered site plans, floor plans, perspectives, and exterior elevations for client presentations.
